The Albanese and Minns Governments are building infrastructure back better in our region to make our community more resilient to natural disasters.

Member for Gilmore, Fiona Phillips MP, and Member for Bega, Dr Michael Holland MP are thrilled to announce that the Albanese and Minns Governments are delivering $1,058,573 in joint funding to improve North Head Drive, Moruya through the Infrastructure Betterment Fund.

The funding will be provided to Eurobodalla Shire Council and will be used to ensure that North Head Drive is more resilient against future natural disasters, dramatically decreasing the frequency of road closures and removing the risk of rock falls on passing traffic and cyclists.

The Infrastructure Betterment Fund is focused on building back better essential public assets, such as roads, bridges and drainage impacted by the storm and flood events in 2021 and 2022, as well as fixing damage caused by the 2019/2020 Black Summer bushfires.

North Head Drive will be repaired to a more resilient standard that can better withstand future natural disasters, while also delivering associated economic, social and productivity benefits.
