Check out the gains that the community and I have fought for and won in Kiama!

$150,000 for Kiama Municipal Council for bike skills tracks at Sanctuary Place Quarry Minnamurra.

$10,000 for the Gerringong Junior Rugby League Club for a lighting upgrade to their sports fields from the 2021 Stronger Communities Fund.

$4,820 for the Kiama Woodcraft Group under the Supplementary Volunteer Grants 2020.

$2,000 for Kiama Municipal Council under the NAIDOC Local Grants Program.

$20,000 to Gerringong Public School for an inclusive playground.

$1,250,000 for the Gerringong Library upgrade.

$37,000 for the Kiama Show Society to restore the ageing stables and upgrade the adjacent toilet facilities at the Kiama Showground.

$404,787 for the Crooked River Bridge Cathodic Protection Design and Installation under the Bridges Renewal Program.

$173,344 for the extension to the existing carpark at Bonaira Reserve, to create an additional 40 parking spaces. 

$170,646 for OOSH-Ss Peter and Paul Kiama under the Community Child Care Fund

 

Road Safety Program, School Zone Infrastructure Sub Program:

$100,000 for a raised pedestrian crossing on Saddleback Mountain Road for Kiama High School.

$100,000 for a raised pedestrian crossing on Collins Street for Kiama Public School.

$75,000 to upgrade the Kiss and Drop zone at Minnamurra Public School.

$100,000 for a pedestrian refuge upgrade in Belinda Street, (near Rowlins Road) for Gerringong Public School.

All projects will be completed by the Kiama Municipal Council.

 

 

Volunteer Grant

$2,500 - Improvements to canteen and bar facilities including coffee machine purchase for Kiama Rugby Leagues Club

$18,000 for the Kiama Surf Life Saving Club Inc for new rollers doors and building repairs from the 2021 Stronger Communities Fund.

$18,193 for Kiama High School to refurbish the library.

$190,128 to Kiama Municipal Council for local roads projects across Kiama under the Roads to Recovery program.

$7,260 to Kiama Tennis Club to replace the court grass.

$365,200 for Lumi Co under the Entrepreneurs Program for development of a platform for screen content generation in the media industry. 

$3,500 for Kiama Rotary Club under the Supplementary Volunteer Grants 2020.

$3,000 for the Gerringong Football Club under the Supplementary Volunteer Grants 2020.

$1,000 for CBK Constructions under the NAIDOC Local Grants Program.

 

2021 Stronger Communities Fund Recipients:

$10,000 The Gerringong Junior Rugby League Club to upgrade lighting on the fields.

$18,000 to Kiama Surf Life Saving Club to replace a roller door and repair their storage shed.

$5000 to the Jamberoo Public School Parents and Citizens Association for the construction of a shared cultural space.

$600,000 for Kiama Municipal Council for carpark upgrades to Bonaira Oval carpark, Kiama Downs Surf Club carpark, Kendalls Beach carpark, Shoalhaven Street carpark and Glenbrook Drive road.

$5000 for Jamberoo Public School Parents and Citizens Association for construction of a shared yarning circle and bush tucker garden from the 2021 Stronger Communities Fund.

$3,800,000 for Blue Haven Bonaira.

$3,500 for Landcare Illawarra to grow local plant species and rehabilatate coastal Landcare sites in Kiama.  

$8,250 to Kiama Surf Life Saving Club to replace the damaged rescue boat and purchase new emergency equipment.  

$2,500 for Kiama Municipal Council to conduct  Kiama microplastics surveys. 

$72,397 for Kiama Meals on Wheels to respond to COVID-19. 

$4,500 for the Kiama Show Society under the Supplementary Volunteer Grants 2020.

$500,000 to Kiama Municipal Council under the Federal Stimulus Road Safety Program for Cycleway Fencing and Road Safety Barriers, Princes Hwy Bombo
