A BRIDGE TOO FAR FOR ANN SUDMALIS AND THE TURNBULL GOVERNMENT AS THEY STILL HAVE NO FUNDING FOR NEW NOWRA BRIDGE - WHILE A SHORTEN LABOR GOVERNMENT HAS ALREADY COMMITTED $50 MILLION

How many media events can the Member for Gilmore hold and still not commit any funds towards the construction of the new Nowra Bridge?

While Ann Sudmalis is running a petition about the old Nowra Bridge, a Shorten Labor Government has already committed to investing $50 million towards the construction of the new Nowra Bridge.

Bill Shorten has been in Nowra and heard directly from the local community about the need to get on with building a new bridge over the Shoalhaven River.

In office, Federal Labor will partner with the NSW Government to do precisely that.

After four years in office, the time has come for Ann Sudmalis and her Liberal Government to stop talking about the infrastructure the South Coast needs and actually build it.

For our part, Federal Labor is committed to investing in the modern infrastructure that will make people’s lives easier, our businesses more competitive and our regional economies stronger.
