LABOR’S FAIR GO FOR SCHOOLS MEANS $21 MILLION IN ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR SOUTH COAST SCHOOLS

A Shorten Labor Government will deliver the biggest investment in public schools in Australian history, so every child in every school gets the education they deserve.

Schools in Gilmore will receive over $21 million over the first three years from 2020 – because the things that make a difference in South Coast schools, like individual attention and excellent teaching, require more funding.

Over the last five years the Liberals have attacked public schools and slashed their funding. They’ve let down the 2.5 million kids who go to public schools.

Bill Shorten and Labor will full reverse Scott Morrison’s cuts and invest record funding – so every school can be a great school.

Recently, Labor announced that a Shorten Labor Government will invest an extra $14 billion in public schools – to deliver the biggest investment in public schools in Australian history.

A new website- www.fairgoforschools.com.au - gives each school an estimate of the extra funding it can expect in the first three years of Labor's plan, such as:

  •        Batemans Bay Public School: $810,000
  •        Kiama High School: $1,220,000
  •        Nowra East Public School: $640,000
  •        Shoalhaven High School: $1,220,000
  •        Ulladulla High School: $1,600,000
  •        Vincentia High School: $1,650,000
  •        Checkwww.fairgoforschools.com.au for every local school

This will make a huge difference in our community. It will mean every child, in every school will get a great education – because the things that make a difference in our schools, like individual attention and excellent teaching, require more funding.

Bill Shorten and Labor will reverse the Liberals’ cuts to our schools – so every school can be a great school.
